Using some very innovative “smart” construction techniques, the SmartShack was designed by an Australian builder who has lived in the tropics for over 20 years.

His aim was to create a building that would meet the following criteria:

2. Minimal wet trades to ensure fast construction
3. Minimal environmental impact
4. No waste or mess
5. No disturbance to the natural ground
6. As practically ‘green’ as possible without compromising on comfort or quality

   the environment
